Workshop Bookings
All workshop bookings are subject to availability and shall only be confirmed once full payment has been successfully received or written confirmation has been issued by the Studio. While every effort is made to operate workshops as scheduled, Bedia Pottery LLC reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, combine, or cancel workshops where reasonably necessary due to operational requirements, instructor availability, minimum participant numbers, maintenance, health and safety considerations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Pricing and Payments
All prices published by Bedia Pottery LLC are quoted in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices, promotional offers, workshop packages, and discounts may be amended or withdrawn without prior notice. Payment must be completed before a booking is confirmed unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. Promotional offers may not be combined unless expressly stated.
Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Show Policy
Workshop bookings are generally non-refundable. Participants wishing to reschedule their booking must notify the Studio at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled workshop, and all rescheduling requests remain subject to availability. Requests received after this period may not be accommodated. Failure to attend a confirmed booking without prior notice shall be treated as a no-show, and the booking shall be considered fully utilised without refund, credit, or replacement session. Where Bedia Pottery LLC cancels a workshop due to operational reasons, participants will be offered an alternative workshop date or Studio credit at our discretion.
Nature of Our Workshops
Designed for Complete Beginners
Bedia Pottery specialises exclusively in beginner-level pottery experiences.
Our workshops are carefully designed for guests with little or no previous pottery experience and focus on introducing the fundamentals of pottery in a relaxed, creative, and enjoyable environment. We do not offer intermediate, advanced, professional, certification-based, or production pottery courses.
All pottery wheels, tools, equipment, materials, studio facilities, and teaching methods are selected specifically for beginner use. By booking a workshop, you acknowledge that you are participating in a recreational beginner pottery experience and should not expect advanced techniques, professional ceramic training, or specialised pottery instruction.
Children's Workshops
Children aged three (3) years and above are welcome to participate in designated workshops. Participants aged three (3) to thirteen (13) years inclusive are classified as children, while participants above thirteen (13) years of age are classified as adults. To ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience, the Studio provides both mini pottery wheels and standard pottery wheels. The allocation of equipment shall be determined solely by Bedia Pottery LLC based on factors including the participant's age, height, physical comfort, safety requirements, instructor assessment, and operational considerations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, parents or guardians remain responsible for supervising their children throughout the visit.
Studio Conduct
All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow guests, instructors, Studio staff, equipment, and facilities. Any participant whose behaviour is considered unsafe, abusive, disruptive, threatening, intoxicated, or otherwise inappropriate may be asked to leave the premises immediately without refund. Bedia Pottery LLC reserves the right to refuse future bookings where necessary to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.
Health and Safety
Participation in pottery activities involves the use of pottery wheels, hand tools, clay materials, water, glazes, and kiln-fired ceramics. Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by Studio staff and instructors throughout the workshop. Guests are responsible for informing the Studio before the workshop of any medical condition, injury, allergy, or physical limitation that may affect their ability to participate safely. Bedia Pottery LLC reserves the right to refuse participation where doing so is reasonably necessary for health and safety reasons.
Handmade Nature of Pottery
Every pottery piece created at Bedia Pottery LLC is handmade and unique. Natural variations in size, shape, texture, colour, glaze, and finish are part of the ceramic-making process and should not be considered defects. Samples displayed in the Studio or on our website are for reference only, and finished pieces may vary.
Clay Types, Drying, Shrinkage & Kiln Firing
Bedia Pottery LLC offers workshops using Air Dry Clay, Ceramic Clay, and Terracotta Clay, each with different characteristics and finishing processes.
Air Dry Clay is intended for decorative use only. It is not food-safe, waterproof, microwave-safe, oven-safe, or dishwasher-safe. As a natural material, air dry clay may crack, chip, shrink, or break during drying or after collection. Bedia Pottery LLC is not responsible for any damage or deterioration occurring after the workshop or once the artwork has been collected.
Ceramic Clay and Terracotta Clay undergo a professional drying process followed by two kiln firings (Bisque Firing and Glaze Firing). During this process, pottery naturally shrinks by approximately 10% to 15% and may develop cracks, warping, glaze variations, or breakage despite proper care. These are natural characteristics of ceramics, and Bedia Pottery LLC cannot guarantee the successful firing or final appearance of every piece. No refunds or replacements will be provided for pottery affected by these natural processes.
Food Safety & Intended Use
Only ceramic or terracotta pottery that has been professionally glazed and kiln fired by Bedia Pottery LLC using food-safe glazes is suitable for normal food and beverage use. Air dry clay creations are strictly decorative and must not be used for food, beverages, or liquids. Unglazed, damaged, chipped, or cracked pottery should also not be used for food contact. Bedia Pottery LLC accepts no responsibility for the misuse of pottery outside its intended purpose.
Collection of Artwork & Storage
Participants will be notified once their pottery is ready for collection. Finished artwork must be collected on or before the discard date specified in the collection notification, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Bedia Pottery LLC. Due to limited storage capacity, any uncollected artwork after the stated discard date may be recycled, donated, or disposed of without further notice or compensation. While reasonable care is taken to store completed artwork, Bedia Pottery LLC shall not be responsible for any accidental damage, deterioration, or breakage occurring during storage or after the discard date has passed.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers issued by Bedia Pottery LLC remain valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are subject to workshop availability and advance booking requirements. Lost, damaged, expired, or partially used gift vouchers may not be replaced.
Photography and Media
To showcase our workshops and promote our services, photographs and video recordings may occasionally be taken within the Studio. Such content may be used on our website, social media platforms, printed marketing materials, digital advertisements, and other promotional channels. Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings must notify a member of our team before the workshop begins, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate their request.
Personal Belongings
Participants remain solely responsible for their personal belongings at all times while visiting the Studio. Bedia Pottery LLC accepts no responsibility or liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property brought onto the premises.
Damage to Studio Property
Participants may be held responsible for the repair or replacement costs of any Studio equipment, furniture, tools, pottery wheels, facilities, or other property intentionally or negligently damaged during their visit.
Limitation of Liability
Participation in all Studio activities is entirely voluntary and undertaken at the participant's own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, Bedia Pottery LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic losses arising from participation in workshops, the natural behaviour of ceramic materials, or the use of our facilities. Nothing contained within these Terms shall exclude liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
Force Majeure
Bedia Pottery LLC shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, cancellation, or failure to perform its obligations where such events result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of government, natural disasters, public health emergencies, fire, flooding, labour disputes, utility failures, or other force majeure events.
Privacy
Any personal information collected during the booking process or while providing our services shall be processed responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and our Privacy Policy. We collect and use personal information solely for legitimate business purposes, including bookings, customer service, communication, operational requirements, and service improvements.
Amendments
Bedia Pottery LLC reserves the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on our website shall supersede all previous versions. Continued use of our website or services following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the services provided by Bedia Pottery LLC shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
